Royal London One-Day Cup: Pujara fails to fire in Yorkshire's win

[ad_1]

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, playing for Yorkshire, could score only 14 runs in his side's two-wicket win over Derbyshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup tie at the County Ground in Derby on Wednesday.

Electing to bowl, Yorkshire's David Willey claimed four for 47 as Derbyshire managed to post a decent total of 189 in 24 overs, after the match was curtailed following a delayed start due to rain.

Opener Ben Slater played a conventional knock of 109.

In reply, Yorkshire opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored 81 and rest of the batsmen contributed decently to help their side reach the target despite Ravi Rampaul's spell of five for 48.

With this win, Yorkshire rises to the second spot in the North Group table and Derbyshire goes down to the fourth spot. Yorkshire travels to Manchester on Tuesday to play Lancashire.
